Feeling Blessed!

The past few months David has been in frantic search of a job.  When we moved to Ames last May, it was for David to start a new job at a small little company.  We were so excited, he had been looking for a job for over a year.  We knew it was the right thing for our family.  It felt like David's career was finally going to start, and we knew we were meant to be in Ames.  Then David had his accident and because he needed time to fully recover, his company needed to replace him, so he lost his job.  It was a real trial of our faith, as we wondered why the Lord would bring us here to Ames for a job, only to lose that job within a couple of months.  Once David was cleared for work again, the search for another engineering job was back in full swing.  I hated the thought of having to pack up and move to yet another state!  In the meantime, David started a production job at a big company here in Ames called Sauer Danfoss.  His hope was to get his foot in the door, and hopefully get hired on as an engineer.  He had a job interview for an engineering position a couple of weeks ago, and we just got word this morning that he got the job!  He'll be starting on the 25th of April.  Though it was a rough time last year as we struggled through not having a job again, our situation has actually improved.  David will be making more at this job than his previous one, and he's more excited about the work.  It re-affirms to us that the Lord knows our situation, and he has a plan for us.  I sincerely believe that this new job is the reason we were to come to Ames, though it might have taken a round-about way to get there.  I'm so grateful that we will be able to stay in Ames...I've really grown to love this little town, and we've made such great friends and really enjoy being close to family.  We truly feel blessed!
